What is Moby Creative?

Moby Creative brings guided ad creation, creative research and generated assets into a dedicated workspace in Moby.

Use it to turn product images into static or video ads, explore new versions of existing ads, and prepare creatives for launch.

The guided workflows help you choose products, concepts and output settings before Moby starts the task in chat. You can review the results and request changes there.

Before you start

This article covers Moby Creative (Beta). In Moby, look for the Creative tab with the Beta badge.

If the tab is missing, beta access may not be enabled for your shop. Contact Triple Whale Support for help confirming availability.

Access to Moby Creative is separate from access to Creative Studio and Media Manager.

Review your product images and Brand Vault before starting. Your brand context gives Moby guidance about your business, visual style and messaging.

Open the creative workspace

  1. Open Moby.

  2. Select Creative beside General.

Use General for your broader Moby tasks. Use Creative for the guided creative workflows and related tools described below.

Select How it works? beside Quick Actions to reopen the introductory guide when you need a reminder.

Review your brand context and prompt controls

The Brand kit strip above the prompt opens Brand Vault in Customize Moby.

Check your logo, colors, product details and approved messaging. Treat brand guidance as a starting point, then review each output before use.

If you have a brand guide PDF or approved logo files, attach them in Moby and request a comparison with your current Brand Vault.

Example request to use with your attached brand guide:

"Compare our Brand Vault with the attached brand guide. Show conflicts, missing details and proposed changes. Preserve unrelated guidance. Do not update anything yet."

Review the proposed changes before asking Moby to apply them. Uploading a file does not update Brand Vault by itself. After an update, check the saved guidance.

See Set Up Moby With the Context of Your Business for the full setup instructions.

You can also enter a custom creative request in the prompt box. Use the attachment controls to provide relevant files, products or ads.

Use the aspect ratio control to describe the shape you want. Guided workflows have their own size selections, which can differ by task.

Choose a creative workflow

Workflow

Use it when you want to

Generate static ads

Create product ads with selected concepts, image sizes and variations.

Generate video ads

Create video ads using generated footage or your own clips.

Refresh fatiguing ads

Create revised versions of selected active ads.

Remix winning ads

Explore new hooks, styles, angles or audience approaches from selected active ads.

Bulk launch new ads

Prepare several existing creatives for a selected channel, campaign and ad set, then continue the request in Moby.

The refresh and remix pickers help you select starting ads. Their rankings do not explain what caused an ad’s performance.

Understand the workflow settings

Each workflow shows the settings relevant to its task. You do not need to configure every setting below for every creative.

Setting

What it controls

Products

The products Moby should feature. Check that the selected images match your intended products.

Concepts

The creative approach, such as a product hero or benefit callouts. Custom concepts let you describe another direction.

Sizes

The requested aspect ratios. Static options include 1:1, 4:5, 9:16 and 1.91:1. Video options can include 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1.

Variations or versions

How many alternatives you request in the static-ad, refresh or remix workflows. Follow the controls shown for your task.

Reference images

Examples that guide the look or content. Explain which details Moby should use from each reference.

Instructions

Required copy, approved offers, audience context and details that must stay unchanged.

Output total

The number of assets requested by the selected inputs. Review it before starting generation.

For example, three products with one variation each, two concepts and three sizes request 18 static ads.

Video settings

Video setup can include generated footage or your own clips, a presenter choice, length, voice, captions and background music. Keep my audio applies when using your own footage.

Available video settings may vary during the beta. Follow the options shown in your workspace.

For your first video, choose one product, one concept and one size. Review the output before requesting another video.

Refresh and remix settings

Refresh and remix include date range, platform and minimum-spend filters for selecting source ads. Raising minimum spend can remove previously selected ads.

The refresh approach controls how much to change. The remix approach identifies what to explore, such as a new hook or visual style.

If no source ads appear, check the filters. An empty filtered list does not mean you have no ads.

Start with a small task so you can review every output. Generation and revision requests can consume usage. See Moby Usage FAQs for details.

Know which controls start work

The final generation button in a guided workflow sends the task to Moby immediately. Templates uses Generate with Moby to start its task.

CAUTION: Generation and revision requests can consume usage. Check the selected inputs and output total before submitting.

Edit in chat in Generations prepares an attachment and request without sending it.

Selecting a count in an ad’s Generate variants section only selects that count. Use the separate Generate variants button to start the request.

Send to Moby in Bulk launch new ads submits the setup to chat. It is not confirmation that ads were created or went live.

Prepare a bulk ad launch

Use Bulk launch new ads to prepare several existing creatives for an advertising account. The walkthrough demonstrates this workflow with Meta.

You can upload creatives from your computer or select existing files through File manager.

Choose where the ads should go

  1. Open Bulk launch new ads under Quick Actions.

  2. Review the Channel and Campaign selections.

  3. Select an Ad set after the list loads.

  4. Select Continue.

Choose where the ads should link

Select one destination option:

  • Let Moby decide: Ask Moby to choose the destination for each ad.

  • Use default website URL: Use the website address shown in the setup.

  • Pick from store: Choose a product or collection.

  • Enter URL manually: Provide a product or landing-page address.

Select Continue after reviewing your choice. Check the proposed links again when Moby prepares the request in chat.

Add creatives and submit the setup

  1. Upload creatives or open File manager.

  2. Select the files you want to use.

  3. If using File manager, select the Add items button to confirm your selection.

  4. Review the creative count and destination summary.

  5. Add optional Instructions for Moby.

  6. Select Send to Moby to submit the setup.

The upload control lists JPG, PNG, MP4 and MOV. File manager includes Uploaded Files and Moby Generations.

The Add button’s label includes the number selected, such as Add 2 items.

At least one creative is required before Send to Moby becomes available. Each selected creative is treated as a separate ad in the request. Moby prepares copy for review in chat.

Review copy and actions in chat

Review the proposed copy, links and destination settings. Request changes before proceeding if anything is wrong.

In the walkthrough, Moby presents separate action reviews for uploading the videos and creating the ads. Uploading a video does not create an ad.

When approval cards appear, inspect the requests individually or use Review all. Open Details or the media preview when needed.

Submit only the decisions you intend to apply. WARNING: Approved actions can change the connected advertising account.

The creation requests in this example describe staging drafts. Do not assume every request has the same final state. Read the proposed action before approving it.

An Approved status records an approval decision, not proof of successful creation or a live launch. Confirm the result in the connected platform before retrying an unclear request.

Explore the workspace sections

Section

What you use it for

Highlights

Review the available Meta creative performance summary and analysis to help choose your next test.

Competitor Analysis

Explore public competitor ads and collect ideas. Public ads do not reveal private competitor revenue or ROAS.

Templates

Choose a starting design, select your product and adapt the instructions before generation.

Generations

Find completed image and video outputs, download an original, or prepare an edit request in chat.

Highlights

Review the date range and attribution model before interpreting the results. Attribution describes how credit for a purchase is assigned to ads.

Use the update status and Refresh control to check freshness. Highlights covers Meta; it is not a combined report for every ad platform.

Select View creative analysis for a more detailed review. Check that page’s dates and filters separately before comparing its results with Highlights.

Competitor Analysis

Use Manage brands to choose competitors and moodboards to collect examples.

Select Remix it on an example to open a setup for your own products. Review which elements to carry over and how closely to follow the source.

Opening the setup does not submit a remix request. Review the final settings before sending it.

Public competitor ads can provide creative references. They do not reveal private competitor revenue or ROAS.

Find completed work and continue editing

Generations lists completed images and videos. Use its media type, user and sort filters, or Search, to find an asset.

  1. Open Generations.

  2. Open the asset to preview it.

  3. Select Edit in chat to prepare a revision request.

  4. Review the prepared request.

  5. Send it when you are ready.

Download gets the original file. A video hover preview plays without sound, so open the video and check its audio separately.

If a result is missing, clear search and filters, then check the original chat. Work still in progress does not appear in Generations.

Select View all files to open the broader Library.

Media Manager helps you find uploads and product imagery. Its Ask Moby control attaches an existing file to a conversation.

Review, refine and reuse your work

Open each completed output and check the product, text, brand details and layout. Watch videos with sound to review speech, captions and music.

When requesting a revision, name the change and the details that should stay the same.

For an incorrect logo, provide an approved high-resolution logo file and inspect the revised result at a readable size. Brand guidance does not guarantee exact reproduction.

These tools serve different purposes:

  • Moby Creative is the workspace for guided creative tasks.

  • Creative Studio is the image editor for text, shapes, layers and AI edits.

  • Media Manager is the broader file library for finding and reusing assets.

Review action settings before a launch

Creating or editing an asset does not publish an ad. Publishing uses supported Actions in a connected account.

Ask every time queues supported Actions for review. Let Moby decide can allow supported Actions to run without individual approval.

Before requesting a launch, check the account, creative, copy, destination and campaign settings.

After submitting a launch request, confirm the result in the connected platform before retrying an unclear request.
