Moby transforms how you create advertising content by combining AI-powered image editing with direct access to your Meta ads library. Generate new ad variations, test creative concepts, and publish directly to Meta—all without leaving Triple Whale.

What You Can Do

Edit Existing Ads: Pull any ad from your Meta library and make targeted changes—swap backgrounds, change product colors, or transform entire scenes while keeping brand elements consistent.

Test Creative Variations: Quickly generate multiple versions of winning ads to identify what resonates with your audience.

Publish to Meta: Once you've created the perfect variation, publish it directly to Meta with full control over copy, campaign placement, and ad settings.

Getting Started

Access Your Ad Library

  1. Open Moby chat at triplewhale.com/chat

  2. Click the + icon in the message input area

  3. Select Select from ads

  4. Use the filters to find your ads:

    • Status: Filter by All Statuses, Active, or Paused

    • Media Type: Choose All Media, Images Only, or Videos Only

    • Sort by: Newest, Highest Spend (7d), or Highest ROAS (7d)

  5. Search by ad name using the search bar

  6. Select the ad(s) you want to edit

  7. Click Add [X] ads to load them into the chat

Pro Tip: Start by sorting by Highest ROAS (7d) or Highest Spend (7d) to work with your proven winners.

Make Your First Edit

Once your ad appears in the chat, tell Moby what to change and what to keep the same.

Example prompts:

  • "Change the shirt color to black in this ad"

  • "Put this product in a warehouse setting"

  • "Swap out the background with this image" (drag and drop your reference image)

Drag and drop images directly into the chat for style inspiration or background references.

Common Use Cases

Change Product Colors

Test different color variations of your product without new photography.

Example: "Make the sneakers red instead of blue"

Swap Backgrounds

Place your product in different environments to see what performs best.

Example: "Change the background to an outdoor mountain scene"

Modify Text Overlays

Adjust or remove text elements in your creative.

Example: "Remove the text overlay" or "Make the text say 'Limited Time Offer'"

Create Scene Variations

Transform the entire setting while keeping your product and branding consistent.

Example: "Put the model in a modern coffee shop instead of this office"

Publishing Ads to Meta

Publish from Moby Chat

  1. Once you're happy with your creative, tell Moby: "Let's publish this to Meta"

  2. Review the publish panel: A side panel opens showing your ad preview and configuration options

  3. Select aspect ratios: Moby automatically generates three versions:

    • Square 1:1

    • Horizontal 16:9

    • Vertical 9:16

  4. Configure ad settings:

    • Channel: Confirm Meta as the destination

    • Ad Name: Edit the default name if needed

    • Campaign: Select from your existing campaigns

    • Ad Set: Choose the target ad set

    • Ad Format: Displays as "Single Image or video"

  5. Review media: Preview each aspect ratio version. Click Replace to swap out any variation

  6. Edit ad copy:

    • Headline: Modify the main headline text

    • Primary Text: Edit the ad description

    • Call to Action: Choose from dropdown options (Shop Now, Learn More, etc.)

    • Landing Page URL: Verify or update the destination URL

  7. Select Facebook Account: Choose which Facebook account to publish under (required)

  8. Select Facebook Page: Choose which Page the ad will run from (required)

  9. Click Publish (1 ad) to send the ad to Meta

Note: You must have your Meta account connected to Triple Whale and appropriate campaign management permissions. The Facebook Account and Facebook Page selections are required before you can publish.

What Gets Published

Each aspect ratio variation is created automatically, so you can deploy ads optimized for:

  • Feed placements (Square 1:1)

  • Desktop news feed (Horizontal 16:9)

  • Stories and Reels (Vertical 9:16)

All three variations use the same copy and settings you configure in the panel.

How It Works

Moby uses Nano Banana, Google's advanced image model, to make fine-tuned adjustments while maintaining consistency across your edits. This ensures that:

  • Product details remain accurate

  • Brand elements stay intact

  • Changes look natural and professional

  • Multiple variations maintain visual coherence

Best Practices

Start with Winners

Pull your top-performing ads from the library as your starting point. Successful creative gives you a proven foundation to build on.

Be Specific About Changes

Clear instructions produce better results:

  • Good: "Change the background to a beach at sunset, keep the product centered"

  • Vague: "Make this look better"

Specify What to Keep

Tell Moby what should stay the same to avoid unwanted changes:

  • "Keep the logo in the top right"

  • "Don't change the product color"

Iterate Quickly

Make small adjustments and review:

  1. Make initial edit

  2. Review output

  3. Request refinements: "Remove the shadow" or "Make the background lighter"

  4. Repeat until satisfied

Test Systematically

Create variations that test one element at a time:

  • Product color variations

  • Background settings

  • Copy variations

  • Model demographics

Example Workflow

Scenario: Testing background variations for a top-performing product ad

  1. Click + icon > Select from ads

  2. Sort by Highest ROAS (7d)

  3. Select your winning ad and click Add 1 ad

  4. "Change the background to a modern kitchen, keep the product and text the same"

  5. Review the generated variation

  6. "Make the kitchen darker and more moody"

  7. Drag in a reference image of the style you want

  8. "Perfect. Now create a version with an outdoor patio background"

  9. Review both variations

  10. "Let's publish both of these to Meta"

  11. Configure campaign settings for each

  12. Publish and monitor performance
