🔒 Why Are Customer Names Blocked in Live Orders?

Triple Whale protects customer privacy by controlling access to Personally Identifiable Information (PII). This includes customer names, emails, and addresses.

If you are seeing “Order# (name blocked)” in Live Orders, your user profile does not currently have permission to view PII.

By default, only the Owner will have the ability to adjust users’ PII access.

These restrictions help stores stay compliant with data protection requirements and ensure sensitive information is only visible to the right people.

✔️ How to Enable PII Access

Only the account Owner can turn on PII access for team members.

To enable it:

  1. Log in to Triple Whale as the account Owner

  2. Open Settings

  3. Select Team

  4. Choose the user who needs access

  5. Toggle PII Access to Yes

Once updated, the user will immediately see customer names in Live Orders and anywhere else PII is used.

🧭 What If PII Access Is Not Enabled?

If you do not have PII access, customer information stays hidden.

You will still be able to:

  • View the Order ID

  • Open the customer’s journey from the attributed channel

  • Use all attribution, reporting, and insights normally

If you require access to customer names for your workflow, you will need to ask the account Owner to update your permissions.

📝 Summary

Customer names appear as “name blocked” when PII access is turned off.

The account Owner can enable this at any time under Settings in the Team section.
