Here's your guide to integrating Yotpo with Triple Whale to unlock email and SMS marketing insights

Overview

With the ability to track every SMS and email engagement, the real-time analytics can help DTC brand owners optimize their marketing efforts for maximum results. And by integrating these metrics directly into Triple Whale, brand owners can have a comprehensive view of how their SMS and Email campaigns fit into their marketing strategy as a whole.

With the Yotpo x Triple Whale integration, you can:

  • Track performance of SMS and email campaigns, including: amount of messages sent, received, and unsubscribes

  • Important metrics like Click Through Rate (CTR), Average Order Value (AOV), Spend, and Revenue

  • Filter the metrics by SMS, email, campaign, or flows

  • Track metrics in Triple Pixel by utilizing Triple Whale’s first-party data, including new customer purchases, conversion value, AOV, profit, unique visitors, and more

Get Connected

A brief walkthrough video of connecting Yotpo to Triple Whale.

To set up your integrations, head to Settings > Integrations.

Locate Yotpo and click Connect. You will be redirected to Yotpo. Select the Yotpo store account you'd like to connect; then, follow the authorization flow to connect to your Yotpo account.

Data Library

Once you are connected, Yotpo data will start to import into your Triple Whale Dashboard. Head over to the Summary dashboard to track your most important metrics. You should see this section:

Additionally, Yotpo Spend will now be included in your Net Profit calculation:

UTM Setup

A Tracking Parameter is a snippet of code that you can add to the end of a URL to track the performance of campaigns and content. By using Triple Whale's custom Tracking Parameters in your TikTok Ads accounts and marketing content, each visitor will be informing our Pixel exactly which ad they just clicked on before arriving at your store.

To add these UTMs in Yotpo, head to Settings > General Settings > Attribution. Locate the UTM tracking section. Update your UTM settings to reflect the below specifications.

Ensure that the checkbox Add UTM tracking for pasted links is set to ON. Finally, click Save.

Once you've connected your Yotpo account, you will be able to access a rich collection of metrics and pre-built dashboards across Triple Whale. Unlock new insights and optimize your paid strategy using the Pixel Yotpo dashboard:

Sync CDP Segments to Yotpo Lists

Any Triple Whale customer with access to our SCDP (Smart Customer Data Platform) can now build custom segments within Triple Whale and sync them directly to Yotpo.

Any lists synced with Yotpo will be updated as a list in your Yotpo account, daily based on the criteria you've set within Triple Whale.

To sync an SCDP segment, simply click the symbol to the right of the segment, select Manage Syncs > + Create Segment Sync. Select Yotpo as a destination and click Submit.

1. Will my Yotpo data be imported to Triple Whale from Shopify?

  • Any Yotpo data available in Triple Whale is imported directly from your Yotpo via API connection. To connect your Yotpo account, visit the Integrations page.

2. Why do some metrics not seem to match up?

  • It's important to understand the different types of data you will find in Triple Whale, and how to interpret various reports. Generally speaking, a metric imported directly from an integrated source (such as: Yotpo CTR) should appear in Triple Whale as it does in Yotpo. However, some dashboards include Triple Whale's first-party data, which can differ significantly from channel-reported metrics.
