Review and approve Moby Actions

Overview

This article explains how to review Moby Actions when approval is required before execution.

Moby Actions follow your account’s action approval behavior. Some actions may run automatically, while others may require review before execution. When approval is required, Moby shows an approval card with the action, reason, details, and response options.

Before you begin

Actions must be available on your account, with at least one relevant platform connected.

Approval in Moby chat

The Moby chat interface includes an Ask every time control. When an action requires approval, Moby pauses before execution and shows an approval card headed “Moby needs your approval to continue.”

The approval card can include:

  • The number of pending actions, such as 1 pending

  • The action name, such as Facebook Ads Write Change Budget

  • A Reason section explaining why Moby is proposing the action

  • A View details button

  • An Actions log link

  • Response options

  • A Submit button

Approval choices

When an approval card appears, choose one option:

Choice

What happens

Approve

Moby proceeds with the action.

Reject

Moby does not run the action.

No, and tell Moby what to do differently

Moby does not run the action, and you can give feedback so it can revise the proposal.

Select Submit after choosing a response. Submit stays disabled until you select an option.

Review the action details

Use View details to inspect the action before approving it. Review:

  • The platform

  • The entity being changed

  • The current or prior value, when shown

  • The proposed new value

  • The reason for the change

  • Any IDs or platform details shown in the record

If anything looks wrong, choose Reject or No, and tell Moby what to do differently.

Use the Actions log

The Actions log shows action records from Moby Actions, including actions raised from chat and automations. The log can show fields such as:

  • Action

  • Status

  • Mode

  • Rationale

  • Details

  • Created

Statuses may include pending, approved, rejected, expired, or failed. [

Undo an executed action

To undo an executed action, ask Moby in chat to restore the previous setting. Moby can use the action details to help reverse supported changes, including prior and new values when available. You can also make the change manually in the connected platform.

Verify it worked

After an action runs, confirm that Moby reports the result in chat. For important changes, check the connected platform directly.
