Beta: The new Attribution experience is separate from your current page. You can try it and switch back at any time.

Overview

Use the Attribution beta to review campaigns, ad sets, and ads without moving between separate tools for each task. Search for a creative concept across your account, compare attribution views, and narrow the table to the items you want to review. You can also review eligible bulk status and budget changes from the table.

This guide is for media buyers and agencies reviewing multiple campaigns or creative concepts.

Before you begin

  • Open the business you want to review in Triple Whale.

  • Choose a creative concept, campaign name, or group of IDs to use for your first review.

  • Confirm your reporting date range before comparing results.

Warning: Pausing or resuming ads and changing budgets can affect live ad delivery and spend. Review the selected items and proposed changes before confirming an action.

Watch the walkthrough

The steps below cover the same workflow so you can follow along or return to a specific task.

Steps

1. Open the Attribution beta

  1. Go to Acquisition → Attribution.

  2. Click Try the new Attribution table.

The beta opens as a separate experience. To return to your current page, click Back to the old Attribution.

2. Navigate your account structure

  1. Click the hierarchy tab you want to review: Channels, Campaigns, Ad sets, or Ads.

  2. Check the parent indicator to see where the item belongs.

For example, an ad set’s parent indicator shows its campaign. Use the tabs to move between levels without leaving the attribution table.

3. Find related campaigns, ad sets, and ads

  1. Choose the search option that matches your task.

  2. Enter your search value.

Search option

Use it to

Contains

Find names or IDs containing a shared word, concept number, or other text.

Does not contain

Leave matching items out of your results.

Comma-separated list

Search for several names or IDs in one query.

RegEx

Match a naming pattern using a regular expression, a text pattern used to define matches.

Search works across campaigns, ad sets, and ads. For example, enter a concept number from your naming convention to find related items without opening each campaign separately.

4. Narrow your results with filters

  1. Click Add Filter on the tab you’re reviewing.

  2. Add a filter condition.

  3. Add another condition if you need to narrow the results further.

You can combine filters at the channel, campaign, ad set, or ad level. For example, use a spend filter in the channel view to focus your review.

5. Compare attribution models and windows

An attribution model determines how marketing interactions receive credit for a purchase. An attribution window defines how far back eligible interactions can receive credit, for models with a configurable window.

  1. Open the attribution comparison options.

  2. Add Triple Attribution with a 1-day window.

  3. Add Triple Attribution with a 7-day window.

  4. Compare the values across the same campaign, ad set, or ad row.

Keep the reporting date range the same while comparing views. Read each model and window as a separate perspective, not as results to add together.

You can also compare different attribution models. Clicks & Deterministic Views uses built-in time decay rather than a configurable attribution window. A seven-day label carried over from another model does not change its calculation.

6. Review selected items and copy their IDs

  1. Select the checkbox beside each row you want to review.

  2. Click Filter by Selection to narrow the table to those items.

  3. Review the selected-items sub-sum row.

  4. Click Copy IDs if you need the IDs in another tool.

  5. Choose the type of IDs you need from the available options.

  6. Paste the copied list into your destination tool.

The sub-sum reflects your selected items rather than the entire table. The copy options are Campaign IDs, Ad Set IDs, Ad IDs, and All IDs. You can paste the resulting plain list into Ads Manager or another tool.

7. Review bulk status and budget changes

Selecting rows does not make every item eligible for every action. Review which items will change and which will be skipped. An action is disabled when none of the selected items is eligible.

To pause or resume selected items:

  1. Choose Pause or Resume from the bulk actions.

  2. Review the affected and skipped items.

  3. Confirm the action only if the preview matches your intended change.

To adjust budgets:

  1. Choose the budget increase or decrease action.

  2. Enter the adjustment amount.

  3. Review the current budget, proposed budget, and difference for each affected item.

  4. Confirm the adjustment only if the preview matches your intended change.

8. Compare campaigns on the graph

  1. Add the campaigns you want to compare to the performance graph.

  2. Choose up to six metrics per campaign.

For example, compare spend, purchases, and return on ad spend (ROAS) across several campaigns in the same view.

9. Resize columns to read full names

  1. Drag the edge of a column to widen it.

Use wider columns to read long campaign names or concept numbers before selecting items.

Check your results

After completing your review, check that:

  • The active hierarchy tab matches the level you intended to review.

  • Search results and filters show the group you wanted to inspect.

  • Comparison columns identify the selected model and any applicable window.

  • The selected-items summary reflects your selection.

  • The graph shows the campaigns and metrics you chose.

If you submitted a bulk action, check its result before treating the change as complete. A selection or preview is not confirmation that an action has finished.

Share feedback

When sharing feedback, describe what you were trying to do and where you got stuck. Include the hierarchy tab and the search, filter, or action you were using so the team can understand your experience.

You can switch back to your current Attribution page while continuing your work.
