What Are Moby Credits?

Moby Credits are a flexible, usage-based system that powers access to Moby AI features.

Every customer gets 3,000 free credits each month to try Moby AI tools risk-free. Paid plans unlock more flexibility, better rates, and credit rollover.

Moby Credits were designed to:

  • Give everyone access to core AI features

  • Let you pay only for what you use

  • Offer full transparency into credit usage and remaining balance

  • Proactively alert you when usage likely exceeds your monthly plan

  • Support both brands and agencies with separate, trackable credit pools


What Features Use Credits

Credits are consumed when using any of the following:

  • Moby Agents

    • Ads Copilots

    • Agent Builder

  • Agent Runs

  • Deep Dive

The credit burn rate depends on:

  • Operation type

  • Data processed

  • Workflow complexity

  • LLM provider used

Before running an Agent, you’ll see an estimated credit burn so you’re never caught off guard.


What Happens When I Run Out of Credits

When your credits hit zero:

  • AI features will stop working (Moby Chat, Moby Agents, etc.)

  • You’ll see a modal prompting you to top up or upgrade

  • You’ll also receive in-app alerts and emails

You can either upgrade to a higher tier package, add credits as a one time top up (only if you are on a one time credit package), or wait until your next refresh date.

Q: Why does this cost credits at all?

A: Credits are how you pay for AI usage — they let you flex up or down based on how much you actually use, so you’re only paying for what drives value.

Q: Why do I get 3,000 free credits each month?

A: Everyone gets 3,000 free credits monthly to try AI features with no upfront cost. It’s our way of letting you test the value, adopt what works, and scale once you see ROI.

Q: Why did we use so many credits so fast?

A: Credits are used every time an agent runs — especially if it runs automatically or includes multiple steps. More runs, more data, and more complexity = more credits burned. You can view usage in the Settings → Usage page and tune high-burn agents if needed.

Q: What makes credits run out faster?

A: Agents that run frequently, have lots of steps, or handle large data sets use more credits. Complex custom agents and deep dives tend to consume more due to heavier processing tasks.

Q: How can I see what’s using my credits?

A: Head to Settings → Usage to see detailed breakdowns by agent and by date. You’ll also see an estimated credit burn before running template agents. (Note: previews aren’t available for custom agents.)

Q: Will unused credits carry over to next month?

A: Yes — if you’re on a paid plan, credits roll over month to month. If you’re on the free plan, they reset each month and don’t carry over.

Q: What if we hit zero credits?

A: When credits run out, AI features will pause. You can:

  • Top up anytime

  • Upgrade your package

  • Or wait until your next monthly refresh

Q: How do I control agents that run automatically?

A: We can review your current agent setup. Many agents run on a schedule, but you can reduce run frequency, remove steps, or disable unnecessary agents altogether.

Q: Can we stretch the value of our credits?

A: Absolutely. The best way is to:

  • Identify agents that run most often

  • Reduce frequency or steps

  • Combine similar tasks

A: Yes! You can purchase credit top-ups anytime in $500 increments. Or upgrade to a higher package for better volume pricing. Agencies also benefit from a shared credit pool across all managed brands.
