Accessing the Competitors Tab
To get started, navigate to Media Manager from the left sidebar
then click Competitors in the Media Manager navigation.
You'll see two sub-tabs: Brand Tracker and Ad Feed.
1. Track Competitor Brands with Brand Tracker
The Brand Tracker tab is where you manage the brands you want to monitor. Before you can browse competitor ads, you need to add at least one brand.
Adding a Brand
Click the Track Brand button in the top-right corner.
In the modal that appears, enter the competitor's Name or the website domain (e.g., "nike.com") in the search field and click Search (or press Enter).
3. Browse the search results. Each result shows the brand's name, category, and niches.
4. Click Add next to any brand you want to track. The button will change to Added once the brand is successfully tracked.
5. Close the modal. Your tracked brands now appear as cards on the Brand Tracker tab, showing the brand avatar, name, and category.
Removing a Brand
To stop tracking a brand, click the X button on the brand card. The brand and its ads will be removed from your feed.
2. Browse Competitor Ads in the Ad Feed
Once you have tracked brands, switch to the Ad Feed tab to browse their ad creatives. The feed pulls in ads from all your tracked brands and lets you filter and sort to find exactly what you're looking for.
Filtering and Sorting
The Ad Feed provides a powerful set of filters at the top of the page:
Format: Toggle between Image and Video to view only the ad format you're interested in.
Status: Choose All, Active, or Inactive to filter by whether ads are currently running.
Niche: Use the multi-select dropdown to filter ads by industry niche. Available niches include accessories, beauty, fashion, food/drink, health/wellness, home/garden, jewelry/watches, pets, and more.
Date Range: Set a Start date and End date to narrow the feed to a specific time window. By default, the feed shows ads from the last 30 days.
Sort By: Order results by Newest, Oldest, Longest Running, or Most Relevant.
Click Refresh to reload the feed after changing filters.
Loading More Ads
If more ads are available beyond the initial results, a Load More button appears at the bottom of the feed. Click it to load the next batch of results.
3. Use Competitor Ads as Creative References
When the Competitors tab is opened from within a Moby creative workflow, you can select competitor ads to use as inspiration for new ad generation.
Each ad card shows a checkbox in the top-right corner. Click the card or checkbox to select it. Selected ads are highlighted with a blue border, indicating they will be passed to Moby as creative references.
Note: Ad selection is only available when the Competitors tab is accessed through a creative workflow (e.g., when creating or editing ads with Moby). When browsing the tab directly, selection is not available.
Tips for Getting the Most Out of Competitor Tracking
