Triple Whale Agents are being sunset

A guide to the sunset of Triple Whale Agents and migration to Moby 2 Automations.

Overview

Triple Whale Agents are being retired as Moby 2 Automations become the primary engine for scheduled reporting. This guide explains what is changing, who is affected, and how to migrate your existing Agents.

What changed

Triple Whale Agents, the scheduled AI jobs you set up to run weekly reports, creative recaps, or campaign summaries, are powered by Moby 1, our first-generation AI engine. Moby 2 is now the primary engine, and its equivalent of Agents is called Automations. Automations deliver formatted reports and connect more reliably to Slack, email, and Google Sheets.

To consolidate scheduled AI onto a single engine, Agents are being retired. Until sunset, both Agents and Automations run side by side so you can rebuild each Agent as an Automation on your own schedule.

Who is affected

Every Triple Whale customer with at least one scheduled Agent.

You have Agents if, in Moby, you see any items under Settings → Moby Tools → Agents or inside a Core Workspace submenu. If that list is empty, nothing on your account changes and you can stop reading.

Action required

Before sunset, rebuild each Agent you depend on as a Moby 2 Automation. The fastest path:

  1. Request Moby 2 enablement by opening a support chat from the help widget in Triple Whale. Moby 2 enablement is currently handled by Triple Whale Support, see How to enable Moby 2 on your store for details.

  2. List your Agents at Settings → Moby Tools → Agents and inside any Core Workspace submenus where workspace-scoped Agents may live. Note each one's name, cadence, destination, and prompt.

  3. Rebuild each Agent as an Automation using the trigger phrase "I want to turn an agent into an automation" in Moby chat. See How to convert your Agents to Moby 2 Automations for the full walkthrough.

  4. Run each new Automation once to confirm the output looks right before sunset.

Agents that aren't migrated before sunset will stop running. Any report or workflow that depended on a scheduled Agent will stop until you've rebuilt it as an Automation. Your Agents remain listed under Settings → Moby Tools → Agents (Moby 1).
