Overview
Moby 2 has to be turned on for your store before you can migrate Agents to Automations or use Moby 2. Enablement is currently handled by Triple Whale Support, there isn't a self-serve toggle in the product today. Open a chat from the help widget in Triple Whale and request Moby 2 enablement for your store. Once Support flips the switch, the store moves from the Moby 1 interface (with its Agents tab) to the Moby 2 interface (with Threads and Automations) for every user on the store.
Before you begin
You must have an Admin role on the store. Support will confirm your role before enabling.
Moby 2 enablement applies to every user on the store, not just you. Give your team a quick heads-up first, the Moby 1 interface disappears the moment Moby 2 goes live.
⚠ The switch is immediate and store-wide once Support enables it. The Moby 1 chat window, Moby 1 chat history, and Moby 1 Agents are still accessible afterward (they move under Settings → Moby Tools), but the primary Moby experience in the top bar flips to Moby 2 right away.
Steps
Open the help widget inside Triple Whale.
Start a new conversation.
Request Moby 2 enablement for your store.
Mention the store name. (Moby 2 is enabled per store if you manage multiple).
Confirm your Admin role.
Wait for Support to enable Moby 2. Support will confirm in-chat once the switch has been made.
Perform a hard refresh of your browser.
Verify
You know Moby 2 is on when:
The Moby icon in the top bar opens a Moby 2 conversation (Threads), not the Moby 1 chat.
Automations appears in the Moby section of the navigation.
Your old Moby 1 Agents are now reachable at Settings → Moby Tools → Agents (Moby 1).
The next time you open Triple Whale, you see a pop-up confirming Moby 2 is enabled.
Where your Moby 1 stuff lives after the switch
Nothing is deleted when Moby 2 is enabled. You can still find:
Settings → Moby Tools → Chat (Moby 1): the Moby 1 chat window.
Settings → Moby Tools → Chat History (Moby 1): the full archive of your Moby 1 conversations.
Settings → Moby Tools → Agents (Moby 1): every Agent you'd built, still listed (they're what you'll migrate next).
📝 Moby 1 chat history and Moby 2 Threads are separate. Conversations you had in Moby 1 don't appear in the Moby 2 Threads column, and vice versa. This is by design, the two systems have different capabilities but it's a common "where did my chats go?" moment after the switch.
What happens next
Once Moby 2 is on, head to Settings → Moby Tools → Agents (Moby 1) to list the Agents you'd like to migrate, then follow How to convert your Agents to Moby 2 Automations.
If something doesn't work
If Moby 2 doesn't appear after Support confirms enablement, first do a hard refresh. If it's still not showing, reply in the same support chat or see Agent to Automation migration isn't working, troubleshooting.
