TikTok Shop Integration

Learn how to connect your TikTok Shop account to Triple Whale and view your sales data alongside all your other channels. This integration provides comprehensive order and revenue metrics to help you track your TikTok Shop performance.

Overview

The TikTok Shop integration brings your TikTok Shop order and revenue data directly into Triple Whale, enabling you to analyze your TikTok Shop performance alongside all your other sales channels in one unified dashboard.

TikTok Shop is an integrated eCommerce solution that allows sellers to showcase and sell products directly within the TikTok app. By connecting TikTok Shop to Triple Whale, you'll gain deeper insights into how your TikTok Shop sales contribute to your overall revenue and business performance.

The TikTok Shop integration is available for paid Triple Whale plans only. Free accounts do not have access to this integration.

Important Note: The TikTok Shop integration displays data for all orders (both organic and attributed), while the TikTok Ads pixel on the Pixel page shows only attributed TikTok Shop orders from ad clicks. This means you may see different numbers between these two data sources, which is expected behavior.


What Data Triple Whale Captures

Once connected, Triple Whale syncs the following metrics from your TikTok Shop account:


Included Metrics

Revenue Metrics

  • Order Revenue - What the buyer ultimately paid = (Gross sales − discounts) + shipping + taxes + delivery fees

  • Gross Sales - Original product price (before discounts, shipping fees, taxes, refunds)

  • Net Sales - Order Revenue − taxes − refunds (discounts are already accounted for within Order Revenue)

  • Discounts - Total discount amount applied to orders

  • Taxes - Tax amounts collected on orders

  • Refunds - Total value of refunded orders

Order Metrics

  • Orders - Total number of TikTok Shop orders

  • Items Sold - Total number of individual items sold

Fee Metrics

  • Shipping Fees - Shipping costs associated with orders


Use Cases

Summary Dashboard

View your TikTok Shop performance at a glance alongside all your other sales channels. Track total revenue, orders, discounts, and key financial metrics in your main Triple Whale dashboard.

Once connected via Data → Integrations, TikTok Shop metrics will automatically appear on your Summary page. However, the data will not be included in your blended metrics by default (See "Connecting to the TikTok Shop Integration" below for details).

SQL Builder

Access all TikTok Shop metrics in the SQL Builder to create custom reports and analyze your data with complete flexibility. Build queries to understand trends, compare time periods, and export data for deeper analysis.


Connecting to the TikTok Shop Integration

How to Connect TikTok Shop

Step 1: Navigate to Data → Integrations in your Triple Whale dashboard

Step 2: Find TikTok Shop in the integrations list and click Connect

Step 3: You'll be redirected to TikTok to authorize access to your TikTok Shop account

Step 4: Choose whether to enable the blended metrics toggle (defaults to disabled to avoid metric confusion)

Step 5: Return to your Triple Whale dashboard where TikTok Shop data will begin syncing

By default, TikTok Shop data is not included in your Summary Page blended metrics (Net Profit, Blended ROAS, Blended Ad Spend, NC-ROAS) to prevent unexpected spikes when you first connect the integration.

To include TikTok Shop data in these calculations:

Step 1: Navigate to your Summary page

Step 2: Click the three dots (⋮) in the upper right corner of the page

Step 3: Check the box next to "Include TikTok Shop Data"

This setting gives you control over when TikTok Shop revenue impacts your overall business metrics, allowing you to review the TikTok Shop data first before blending it with your other channels.


Understanding TikTok Shop vs TikTok Ads Data

You may notice different numbers when comparing:

  • TikTok Shop integration: Shows all orders including organic sales and attributed orders

  • TikTok Ads: Shows only attributed TikTok Shop orders from ad clicks

This difference is expected and by design. The TikTok Shop integration gives you a complete view of your TikTok Shop business, while the Pixel page focuses specifically on orders driven by your TikTok advertising.

Upcoming Enhancements

We're actively working on expanding the TikTok Shop integration with the following features:

  • Regional Availability: TikTok Shop is currently available for US regional stores only. We'll be expanding to all available regions in a future update.

  • Moby AI (Chat & Agents): TikTok Shop data is not yet available for queries via Moby Chat and Agents. In an upcoming release, you'll be able to ask questions like "Show me TikTok Shop orders and refund trends over the last 30 days."

  • Additional Fee Types: Platform fees, commission fees, and affiliate fees will be added in a fast-follow update to provide complete profitability insights.

  • Customer-Level Metrics: New customer counts and customer acquisition data will be included in a fast-follow update.
