Overview
Triple Whale’s Claude connector lets you ask Moby, Triple Whale’s AI analytics assistant, questions about your store’s performance directly inside Claude, on web, desktop, and mobile.
The connector is read-only. It answers questions about your data. It never changes anything in your store or your Triple Whale account.
What you can do
Once connected, ask Claude about your store in plain language. Moby answers from your live Triple Whale data:
“What was my Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) last week, broken down by channel?”
“Compare my ad spend on Meta vs Google this month and tell me which performed better.”
“Which products drove the most new-customer revenue in the last 30 days?”
“How is my average order value trending this quarter?”
“Summarize yesterday’s performance, including revenue, orders, spend, and ROAS.”
Before you begin
You need:
A Triple Whale account with at least one connected store
Moby usage available on your Triple Whale plan
A Claude plan that supports connectors
No API keys or client secrets are needed. Authentication is handled through OAuth, scoped to read-only analytics access (moby:read), and you can revoke it at any time.
Connect Triple Whale from the connectors directory
In Claude, open Settings
Click on Connectors
Click the Customize hyperlink
Find and click onto Moby Connector in directory
Click Connect.
A new window will open and you will sign in with your Triple Whale account and select the appropriate Shop.
Click Allow
Start asking questions in any Claude chat.
Connect Triple Whale as a custom connector
In Claude, open Settings
Click on Connectors
Click the Customize hyperlink
Click + icon > Select Add custom connector.
Enter the server URL: https://mcp.triplewhale.com
Click Connect.
Complete the Triple Whale sign-in.
Work with multiple stores
Moby resolves your store from your Triple Whale login automatically.
If you have access to multiple stores and want to ask about a specific one, mention its domain in your question.
Example:
For my-store.myshopify.com, what was revenue yesterday?
Verify the connection
You know the connector is working when Claude can answer a store performance question using Moby and your Triple Whale data.
Try asking:
Summarize yesterday’s performance, including revenue, orders, spend, and ROAS.
Disconnect Triple Whale from Claude
To remove the connector in Claude:
In Claude, open Settings → Connectors.
Click on Customize hyperlink.
Find Moby connector.
Remove the connector.
Troubleshooting
Claude asks for your shop ID
Tell Claude your store’s domain, then ask again.
Example:
For my-store.myshopify.com, what was revenue yesterday?
Claude cannot answer from your Triple Whale data
Make sure you are signed in with a Triple Whale user that has access to the store you want to ask about.
If the issue is related to Moby usage or plan access, review your plan and usage in Triple Whale or contact Triple Whale Support.
Connection fails
Make sure you are signing in with a Triple Whale user that has access to the store.
Privacy and data
Your questions are sent to Triple Whale so Moby can answer them against your store’s data.
