UTM Setup
⚠️ Updated April 2026: LinkedIn has updated its supported dynamic URL tracking parameters as part of a campaign hierarchy rename that began rolling out in October 2025. The parameters {{ACCOUNT_ID}} and {{CAMPAIGN_GROUP_ID}} are no longer supported in LinkedIn's URL tracking parameter field, and using them will cause a validation error ("One or more parameters contain an error"). The KB article has been updated to reflect the currently supported parameter string below.
REQUIRED TRACKING PARAMETERS:
tw_adid={{CREATIVE_ID}}&tw_adsetid={{CAMPAIGN_ID}}&tw_campaign={{CAMPAIGN_NAME}}&tw_source=linkedinNote: If you are on LinkedIn's updated campaign hierarchy (where you see "ad sets" in Campaign Manager), use {{AD_SET_ID}} in place of {{CAMPAIGN_ID}} and {{AD_SET_NAME}} in place of {{CAMPAIGN_NAME}}.
The key removals are account_id={{ACCOUNT_ID}} (no longer a valid dynamic parameter) and {{CAMPAIGN_GROUP_ID}} (replaced by {{CAMPAIGN_ID}}/{{AD_SET_ID}} depending on which hierarchy your account is on). The utm_source=LinkedIn static parameter can still be appended if desired, but is not required by Triple Whale.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why does the data not match up perfectly?
Linkedin Ads dashboard displays the data in the UTC timezone. Triple Whale displays all integrations data based on your shops' timezone. So if your shop is EST, there will be some slight differences.
2. Why am I seeing some digits instead of ad names, such as in the below screenshot:
Currently, Triple Whale only pulls in Ad names for ads that are text ads. For ads which are video, or other media, they will display as digits. Support for these ads will be added soon.
